What’s New on the MUD XR Platform: September 2025 Update

With MUD XR Platform v1.22.0, MUD Foundation Inc. continues to expand creative possibilities for dynamic, interactive experiences. This release focuses on scripting, templates, and smarter workflows—giving creators, educators, and artists more control over scene logic and faster ways to start building.

This post outlines what’s changed, and more importantly, what you can now do with these new tools.

Scripting Engine Elements for Dynamic Interactions

With XR Editor v1.22.0, creators can now:

  • Script directly in the editor – Define and manage scriptable objects natively inside the XR Editor.
  • Deeper control with the Scripting API – Capture input from keyboards, mouse, and touchscreens; customize lighting, audio, physics, and rendering; and bring motion to your work with code-driven logic.
